how to change/install a new wordpress theme

After installing your first wordpress theme, you can change the appearance or layout of your blog by changing your theme. The default wordpress installation normally have couple of themes to choose from. You can find the themes in your WordPress administration by accessing Appearance > Themes.

You can change the current theme by clicking on the desired theme and then Activate , or simply by clicking on the “activate” link just below it.

You cal also choose from hundreds of different free wordpress themes available on the web, just google “wordpress themes“, to look for a template that is best suited for your taste
or you can access directly from wordpress.org

once you have downloaded your theme, upload it to your web host, via ftp, If you don’t have an FTP Client you can download a free ftp trial client at

http://www.globalscape.com/downloads/

your ftp host is normally in the form ftp.yourname.com

the theme need to be uploaded to a folder called themes inside the themes folder

the full path is: ~/public_html/wp-content/themes/
